350 Granite Bay High school is a formal chapter of the non-profit 350 Sacramento, an organization dedicated to climate justice that focuses on collective  and systemic  change for environment-promoting policies. The number "350" represents the upper limit amount of carbon dioxide (measured in parts per million) that can be safely present in our atmosphere. In 2023 we hit 419.3  ppm of CO2. Our goal as climate activists is to lower our CO2 levels to safe  quantities below 350 ppm.
